is Associate Professor of Philosophy and Women's Studies at the State University of New York at Binghamton. Her primary theoretical and activist interests are in violence. She teaches in Socio-Political Theory, Feminist Theory (particularly feminist ethico-politics and feminist jurisprudence), Ethics (theory and public policy), and Critical Jewish Studies. She is the author of various books and articles, amongst others Daring to be Good: Essays in Feminist Ethico-Politics (NY: Routledge, 1998) and Women and Violence : a special issue of Hypatia: A Journal of Feminist Philosophy(Fall 1996).
