Mikael M. Karlsson
is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Iceland, where he has taught since 1973, and is presently working as Dean of the new Faculty of Law and Social Sciences at the University of Akureyri, in the north of Iceland.
He works on a variety of subjects including the philosophy of mind and action, the philosophy of law, the philosophy of science, moral philosophy, and topics in the history of philosophy (especially related to the works of Aristotle, Thomas Aquinas, David Hume, and Immanuel Kant). His most recent publications include a number of articles concerning agency and motivation.
