Cogito (Turkey) Self-description

English
Cogito is a quarterly journal of philosophy based in Istanbul and published by Yapi Kredi Yayinlari; it attempts to encompass the myriad aspects of today's intellectual arena through an interdisciplinary approach. Each issue of Cogito examines a different topic in the form of a special report consisting of philosophical, social, political, and cultural analysis. Secularism, Automobiles, Love, Byzantium, Jokes, and Crises are just a few of the memorable themes of Cogito's back issues, all of which are regularly reprinted and collected by readers. Once a year, Cogito devotes a whole issue to a single philosopher, offering up-to-date "companions" to its readers: back issues of Cogito on Nietzsche, Kant, and Adorno still enjoy excellent sales. Cogito was established in 1993, and enjoys a large circulation in Turkey. Cogito is directed and edited by Seyda Öztürk.
